Common questions

Is my data safe?

Your statements and transactions stay on your iPhone. Unlinked has no server and no account, and makes no network connections in normal use. Turn on airplane mode and import a statement to see for yourself.

Do you see my transactions?

No. We have no way to. The only things we ever receive are emails you choose to send.

Which banks work?

Unlinked is being tested with statements from several Canadian banks and card issuers. If your bank's PDF doesn't import, a CSV export from your bank often works. If an import fails, the app offers to send us a masked copy of the statement's layout so we can add it. See Help add your bank.

What if the numbers don't add up?

Unlinked checks every statement against its own totals. If something doesn't match, it tells you where, and nothing wrong is saved.

Password-protected PDFs?

Yes. You type the password on your phone; it isn't stored.

Can I use it on iPad or Mac, or sync between devices?

Not yet. The first version is iPhone only and keeps everything on the one phone.

Which iPhones?

iOS 26 or later. Ask, and the smartest categorising, need an iPhone with Apple Intelligence; everything else works on any supported iPhone.

Is it in French?

The app reads some French statements today. A French version of the app is planned.

What happens after the 30 days?

The free version keeps working. New statements import for one account you choose (you can switch which one once every 30 days), and everything already imported stays visible and exportable, always. Apple Pay logging and added purchases keep working on every account. See Free and Pro on the home page.

How do I delete my data?

In the app: Settings › Delete all data. Or delete the app. There's no copy anywhere else for us to delete.

How do I export my data?

Settings › Export › Export transactions as CSV gives you a spreadsheet of every transaction, free, any time.
